StressMarq developed research products to study post-translational modifications, including monoclonal antibodies, polyclonal antibodies, antibody conjugates, proteins, immunoassays, and small molecule inhibitors.
Post-translational modifications refers to the modification of proteins either during or after protein synthesis. These modifications are important factors for cell signaling, and can be markers for oxidative stress.
Post-translational modifications play critical roles in the regulation and function of many known biological processes and thus are important events to understand as they influence almost all aspects of normal cell biology and pathogenesis. There are numerous modifications, however some common types include:
• ~300 phospho-specific antibodies
• ~100 core cell signaling antibodies
Ø Additional 100 new pan cell signaling pAbs in validation
• Pan-specific post-translational antibodies to acetylated and methylated lysine residues
• New pan PTM monoclonal antibodies to GlcNac, Citrulline, Sulphotyrosine and N-terminal Arginine
Disease/Medical Relevance
• Cancer
• Regulation and function of a wide range of biological processes; influences many aspects of normal cell biology and pathogenesis
