Along with the spreading global pandemic of coronavirus, our company develops two ELISA kits for screening tests to the SARS-COV-2 Virus:

  - SARS-CoV-2 Ab ELISA

  - SARS-CoV-2 IgM ELISA

We recommend to use SARS-CoV-2 Ab ELISA to do screening test. This kit is able to detect the virus after the infection for 8-10 days, even if the patient has not any symptoms. In many clinical cases, doctors found that a patient who has symptoms but his/her's IgM is negative, while IgG is positive. Which means that Coronavirus IgM appears very early, when body get infected and it drops very quickly, even before the symptoms come out.

So we recommend to use SARS-CoV-2 Ab ELISA to do screening test, once the result is positive, the patient should be isolated and constantly be medically observed and examed the coronavirus.

The advantages include:

(1) it can avoid the missed detection caused by low virus content;

(2) the virus is mainly a deep respiratory tract infection, and antibody detection can avoid missed detection caused by sampling problems (throat swab);

(3) antibody testing requires less laboratory testing than direct pathogen detection and is more suitable for hospitals at all levels;

(4) there is aerosol pollution in PCR assays, and serum antibody detection is safer.

Therefore, Total antibody test kit can be used as a supplementary test indicator of the PCR negative sample for suspected cases, or used in conjunction with PCR test in the diagnosis of suspected cases.
